After having written adventures for our favorite pastel horses in 5 different seasons, Waffles is happy to announce that M.A. Larson will be joining us as a Guest of Honour this PonyCon Holland.

M.A. Larson was raised in Minneapolis, went to college in Miami, tended bar in New York, and now writes things in Los Angeles. He’s been writing animation since Cartoon Network existed and Netflix didn’t. He wrote many episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic over the first few seasons, including The Cutie Mark Chronicles, Return of Harmony, Amending Fences, Sonic Rainboom, Luna Eclipsed, and many more, including the series’ 100th episode, Slice of Life. In addition to My Little Pony, he has also written for a variety of other animated series, such as Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Littlest Pet Shop, Sym-Bionic Titan, DC Super Hero Girls, Gravity Falls, and Invincible Fight Girl. His first middle grade book series, Pennyroyal Academy, is very fun to buy, and his most recent novel, Berserkers, has been named by Amazon as the eighth-best book of 2026 so far.
